Thankful for the Dirty Dishes

Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and the sermon at church last Sunday was perfect for helping me get into the appropriate, thankful spirit.  The most impacting point to me was that we need to be thankful for the dirty dishes.  Why?  Because of what they represent.  Think about it... they represent food to eat, as well as the people who ate it.  Wow, so true!!  I have been trying to see more "dirty dishes" in my life to be thankful for!

I invite you to listen to the whole, challenging sermon here.

And Happy Thanksgiving!!

  1. I loved this post but didn't get a chance to come say so until now. :) Earlier this week, Davey had a lot of trouble sleeping - 3 hard nights in a row, blah. And I kept reminding myself to be thankful for the sleepless nights because they mean God has blessed me with Davey... :)
