Recently, and in honor of the New Year, I heard a song called "I Then Shall Live". It is sung to the tune of "Be Still My Soul", but there are different words written by Gloria Gaither. The words impacted me very strongly, especially when staring down a brand new year. The message of this song reflects my resolutions for 2011.
I then shall live as one who’s been forgiven;
I'll walk with joy to know my debts are paid.
I know my name is clear before my Father;
I am His child, and I am not afraid.
So greatly pardoned, Ill forgive another;
The law of love I gladly will obey.
I then shall live as one who’s learned compassion;
I’ve been so loved that I'll risk loving too.

Beautiful, Emily! I am struggling with some 'resolutions' this year, and I need to really remember that I am forgiven and the past is gone to be able to do what He wants in the future. Thanks for sharing!
